Sherry Bowers, MD
Dr. Sherry L. Bowers earned her degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and completed her surgical residency training at the Medical Center of Mesquite. She is passionate about maintaining and improving the foot health of her patients. She regularly devotes time to educating patients and their caregivers and is known for her patience and dedication.
Dr. Bowers is an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and Texas Podiatric Medical Association (TPMA). She has also held a position on the Board of Directors for TPMA and was an Executive Committee member representing podiatry during her tenure at a prominent health company in Dallas. She continues to pursue ways to educate the public and students about podiatric medicine and its importance to general health.
She enjoys time with family and friends, traveling, great food, marching band competitions, all kinds of music, her morning prayer time, belly laughs, listening to the stories of those in our more mature generation, and learning new things.
Brandi Burnett, APRN, FNP-C
Brandi is an East Texas native! She is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington, College of Nursing and Health Innovation.
While working as an acute care nurse, Brandi obtained her Master of Science in Nursing, also from the University of Texas at Arlington. Brandi enjoys seeing patients across their lifespan and is passionate about working with under-served populations.
She enjoys traveling, eating at new vegan restaurants, crafting and fitness. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, their two children and their labradoodle.
Brandi Davis, FNP-BC
Brandi Davis is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. Brandi attended Louisiana State University Health Science Center and earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 2001. While working as an intensive care nurse for 6 years, she completed a Master of Science in nursing with the concentration as a family nurse practitioner from Loyola University New Orleans with honors in 2006. Brandi has over 11 years of experience as a family nurse practitioner in the federal, retail, and private sectors. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Louisiana Nurse Practitioner Association and the North Texas Nurse Practitioner Association.
Brandi currently resides in Dallas, Texas. She enjoys traveling and attending rhythm and blues concerts with her husband and daughter
Anita DSouza, APRN, FNP-C
Anita DSouza is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has a strong background in emergency and critical care nursing. Her drive for excellence and passion for caring others, led her to achieve a Master’s Degree in Family Nursing from Walden University.
With her advanced skills and critical training she continues to provide care for patients throughout their lifespan utilizing a holistic approach. She is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
She loves taking care of her patients and seeing the difference she can make in their lives. In her free time she likes reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
Michael Esedebe, MD
Dr. Esedebe is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecologists. He earned his medical degree from the University of Ibadan Medical School in Nigeria. He has completed residencies at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and University at Buffalo. In addition, Dr. Esedebe completed an internship at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He is a Fellow (FACOG) American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Esedebe enjoys taking care of women through all stages of their life – childbirth, health care maintenance and menopause. He integrates a personal approach to his patients and enjoys the continuity of care that occurs with obstetrical patients. Dr. Esedebe likes to consider care options which fit the patient’s needs and philosophy best. He has a special interest in both low and high-risk pregnancies and abnormal pap smears.
Naomi Gebrelul, MD
Dr. Gebrelul received her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine and completed the Pediatric Residency Program at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Gebrelul provides a range of primary care services to infants and children. Her natural affinity for children combined with a strong interest in science led to a career in pediatric medicine. She enjoys seeing her young patients grow over time while forming enduring relationships with the patient’s family. Her clinical interests include childhood development, weight management, and asthma management.
As a Louisiana native, Dr. Gebrelul is a New Orleans Saints fan. She also enjoys traveling with her husband whenever possible.
Stella Kingodi, RN, MSN, FNP-C
Stella’s nursing career began more than 17 years ago as a nursing assistant in a critical care unit in West Texas. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, she was hired directly into a critical care unit specializing in neurotrauma and cardiovascular surgery. Stella continued to work in critical care units around the Metroplex up until the time she graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Master of Science in Nursing specializing in Family Practice. She then moved into Family Medicine with a major focus on providing preventative health care.
Stella’s nursing experience in dealing with critically ill patients has shaped her personal philosophy, which is providing compassionate, holistic care to patients and their families to prevent disease and promote health.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, volunteering at the local soup kitchen, reading and traveling.
Lackshmi Kudalore, MD
Dr. Kudalore completed her medical training in Mumbai India. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Applied Microbiology and Cancer Immunology from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff and completed a pediatrics residency at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
After working as a staff pediatrician for 5 years in Scottsdale, Arizona, she opened and ran a solo pediatric office in Chandler, Arizona for 16 years before moving to Dallas.
Dr. Kudalore enjoys taking care of children from newborns to 18 years of age. Her focus is preventive pediatrics and counseling on safe practices for developing children. She strongly recommends vaccinations to safeguard against communicable diseases. She also enjoys talking to adolescents about the importance of a college education and its future benefits.
She likes reading books and medical journals, cooking and listening to Indian classical music.
Lindsay Martin-Engel, MD, MPH
Family Medicine Bilingual, Associate Medical Director
Dr. Martin-Engel received her medical education from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago in 2013. She is completing her residency at PCC, as part of the West Suburban Medical Center – Family Medicine Residency Program. She also serves as PCC’s research coordinator. Dr. Martin-Engel was honored with the Graduating Resident Teaching Award in 2016, the Winter Griffith Scholarship for Excellence in Practice Improvement, the Family Medicine Student of the Year in 2013, and the American Association of Family Practice Community Outreach Award in 2012. Also, she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society in 2013.
Dr. Martin-Engel is passionate about family medicine which allows her to care for patients “from womb to tomb.” She enjoys obstetrics, pediatrics, and treating adult acute and chronic diseases. In her leisure time, Dr. Martin-Engel loves yoga, running, skiing, and traveling.
Ashley Meusa, DPM
Family Medicine, Associate Medical Director
Dr. Ashley Meusa is a native of Dallas, TX. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry, from Texas A&M University, College Station. In 2004, she earned her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University, located in North Chicago, IL.
After obtaining her Doctoral Degree of Podiatry, she completed her podiatric medicine and surgery residency at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. While in residency, she obtained comprehensive training in treating lower extremity diseases and medical emergencies as they relate to pedal care, podiatric surgery, wound care, diabetic foot care, nail procedures and treatments, and treating skin conditions on the foot, and much more. After completing residency, she began working full time, seeing patients in house-call and facility settings. She now serves the community here at Foremost Family Health Centers and is also the associate medical director for the MLK site.
Dr. Meusa is board-certified in diabetic foot wounds and footwear, and has a passion for treating and protecting feet.
Dr. Meusa currently lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with her husband and their daughter. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling and volunteering at her church.
Xaquita Wicks, MSN, RN
Chief Nursing Officer
Xaquita Wicks is a registered nurse with over 17 years of nursing experience and a master’s degree in nursing. She has lived and practiced nursing in Japan, Nevada, Texas, Arkansas, Maryland, and Virginia.
Xaquita is experienced in areas of nursing education and leadership, maternal newborn, pediatrics, geriatrics, mental health, community health, plastic surgery, operating room, medical sales, nurse staffing, staff development and training, online teaching, and clinical faculty.
Her nursing philosophy combines meeting the needs of patients through evidence-based practices, technology, and holistic health care. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, playing golf, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and enjoying life.
